St. Michael's Players is one of the longest-standing drama groups in London. We've been staging wonderful plays in West London since 1949. Three a year (Spring, Summer and Autumn - even during lockdown), plus our fabulous panto at Christmas.
Our repertoire is varied - comedies, dramas, Shakespeare, pantos, musicals and more - and we are constantly on the look-out for new members to act, produce, direct, help backstage, do hair & makeup, build sets, help with wardrobe, add flair with lights, be front of house on performance nights, etc. Interested? Get in touch or better still, join us straightaway!

HOW WE WORK (FAQS)
Rehearsals take place on Mondays and Thursdays at the St Michael's Centre on Elmwood Road, London W43DZ and run for the 7-8 weeks before a production. The tech rehearsal is usually on the Sunday before the first performance and the clear up is on the Sunday after the last performance.
There are four performances per show (Wed-Sat) with the exception of our popular Panto, which runs for 5 nights (Tues-Sat) plus a Saturday matinee. Most performances are at the St MIchael's Centre and start at 7.45pm.
Social play readings are hosted most months at someone's house over a bottle of wine or two. They're informal and lots of fun. Someone offers to lead (ie suggest a play and set the scene), someone offers to host (ie provide a venue) and everyone contributes with drinks and nibbles. If there's a play you'd like to read or if you'd be happy to host, please let someone on the Committee know.

Once a quarter we also try to meet up for a social evening at a local pub or we organise another special event of some kind. Check out what's planned and what's coming on the Diary page. There's also an active St MIchael's Players WhatsApp group, which shares suggestions and tips, gets together to watch plays at local theatres, etc. Not on it yet? Please give your phone number to someone on the Committee so that you can be added to it.
As a member, you're welcome to bring along a friend who might be interested in joining, to one of our play readings or social events. And if you're not a member yet but would like to meet us and ask us questions, please get in touch.
