And our next show is "Accidental Death of an Anarchist" by Dario Fo. Based on the true story of the death of Italian anarchist Giuseppe Pinelli, Accidental Death of an Anarchist is a reactionary political tour de force from legendary Italian playwright Dario Fo. Originally performed in community spaces across Italy in 1970, this sharp, chaotic and wildly entertaining play has landed right in the heart of W4. Expect clever writing, stellar performances, political satire, outrageous twist, and some good old-fashioned slapstick comedy. Beneath the farce lies a sharp and serious questions around corruption, and will have you questioning the motives and extent of state power. Giuseppe Pinelli was an Italian anarchist railway worker who mysteriously died after "falling" from a fourth-story window at Milan police headquarters in 1969 while being questioned for a bombing. The police claimed it was an accident, but massive contradictions in their reports sparked public outrage, leading Fo to write this play to combat state-sanctioned misinformation The story takes place in the very Milan police station where the anarchist died. The Maniac, a dangerously unstable con artist with a talent for impersonation, is brought in for questioning. After tricking the dim-witted Inspector Bertozzo and intercepting confidential files, the Maniac impersonates a visiting judge from Rome. He then forces the flustered police officers to reenact the fateful interrogation. St Michael's Players present this play as our 2026 Autumn production and invite everyone to form their own opinion. Tickets: Our ticketing website allows folks to do a couple of things with their tickets.

That means 1 small plate + 1 Cow classic. See sample menu here. This must be booked in advance. Please call 020 8742 8545 to make a supper booking, mentioning that you are coming for the St. Michael's Players production. The theatre venue opens at 7.15, and the performances start at 7.45pm.
- Exchange or Return your tickets: Within your confirmation booking email is a "Manage my booking" button. Follow that. Exchanges can only be done if tickets are available in the desired show
- Refund your ticket: Up to 24 hours before the show, tickets can be refunded.
