"Aladdin" by Marc Pearce (11-14 Dec 2013)
A new version of the classic story. Long ago in a land far far away, an evil sorcerer seeks a magic lamp to rule the world. His plan is disrupted and the lamp ends up in the hands of Aladdin, a young Chiswickiarabian street performer. Cue toe thumping numbers presided over by the Genie of the sing and featuring a host of other characters such as a runaway princess, the incompetent panto police and the hostess of the Harem Madame Twankey. Not forgetting a magic carpet, camel riding sultans and the Genie of the Lamp! Fun and fantasy filled family entertainment
With special thanks to Caroline Gill and St. Michael's Church Barnes Community Players Martin Walton, Rose Pearce And everyone else who has helped make this wishful production |
