"Mammals" by Amelia Bullmore (23-25 Oct 2014)

Poster

Jane and Kev don't have secrets, they don’t have enough room in the house for them. When Kev suddenly comes home from a business trip with something on his mind, he starts a confessional chain reaction, despite a house full of dirty laundry, over-excited children (played by adults) and the early arrival of weekend guests who bring their own "baggage".

Written by Amelia Bullmore (well known as DCI Murray in ITV’s Scott & Bailey) Mammals is a brilliant, bitterly comic glimpse of the breeding generation.

For anyone who's in, has ever been in, or will ever be in a family.

What They Said

"Fabulous production, brilliant performances and excellent directing! Everyone involved should be very proud of themselves and what they delivered" Mike D

"Terrific! Loved The Mammals. Not a dull second. Great storylines and actors that swept you away to this mundane family home setting - now a place seething with the perplexity of passion present and past, adults struggling to find the true meaning of 'la vie' and kids wanting to know if heaven or hell existed. Plus loads of laughs. Only complaint - too short. Would have loved to continue enjoying more and more ... Got really absorbed in all the story lines. Right now am still seeing you in a hospital with a young child who fell out the window because she wanted to hear what the adults were talking about.

Couldn't stay to clap you on the back after the performance. Man.. but another thing I noticed. That audience didn't clap long enough!!! You all deserved several more encores" Brigitte D

"Apologies for late text but what a fab eve. Loved the play and you were super in it you all were" Neil C

"Guy you were fantastic and did yourself and us lumpy toads proud" (Guy says he's never been called a lumpy toad before!) Kristina M

"Much enjoyed our trip to see, 'Mammals' last night! Well done, an excellent performance - look forward to more" Dino
