What They Said

"We came tonight. What a great panto; well done, we loved it thank you x" Andrea R

"What a wonderful panto. I loved it. Such energy and zest. And funny. You were all so great. It zipped along and had such spirit. Lucky audiences. They are in for a festive, fun treat 😍👍" Christine L

"A fabulous fabulous show! Well done everyone for a brilliant opening night. Break lots of legs for the rest of the run!" Fleur deHP

"We have been regulars at the Pantos here for the last few years and always enjoy and last night went to this year's opening show of "Treasure Island".  Amateur Dramatics? Dramatic yes, Amateur, no! Was a delight to watch the cast have such a good time and we really enjoyed again laughing out loud and singing along to all the songs. These shows are simply more fun than the bigger productions we see. We will be back next year!" Alan L

"Great production and great fun, Treasure Island was fantastic fun. We will be back next year!" Marcia

"Fab-u-lus Chris. Thank goodness no Dames on my lap 😊.  I have to congratulate the team on a great evening of entertainment – wine, women (and men) and song and even a glass of wine from Zac. What a result.  Good luck with the remaining performances" Peter A

"Thanks again to you and the whole troupe for another very funny and heartwarming Panto this year - my family and I really enjoyed it" Martine O

"Was a Brilliant panto thank you" Susie C

"What a fantastic panto! The cast had me in stitches all night, brilliant show, highly recommend!" Jade T

"A very fine evening – I thoroughly enjoyed it (“Oh no I …”)" Zac M

"A rollicking good time was had by all! Lots of community singing, plenty of “Behind you!” and “Oh no he isn’t!” gags, and a nice nippy script delivered uniformly well by the whole cast. Special mention must go to the gruesome pirates and the lovely ladies from WI who very nearly had to walk the plank!" Malcolm C

"It was great watching you all on Wednesday. Jolly good fun" Mati C

"A splendid evening thank you all !
Break a peg leg tonight darlings xx" Maddy H

"SO   MUCH   FUN !!!!! Please pass on our congrats to everyone for putting on such a brilliant show, especially the director who I thought came up with some brilliant - and very funny - touches!  Enjoy your night off and then have blast with the rest of the shows" Al B

"Dear Guy and Elizabeth.  Just wanted to say how brilliant you both were last night in the panto and how much Dave and I enjoyed the performance . You always look as if you're having so much fun! Hope the rest of the shows go just as well . Keep singing and dancing your little hearts out !" Lynn E

"Hope you've recovered from a fantastic run, what a lot of fun and a ton of hard work for you all!" Julia W

"This glittering cast presents a dazzling all-singing all-dancing production. A wealth of talent on stage, priceless script, and all perfectly audible, thanks to the invaluable direction of Chris Hulatt. Shining performances from Jo Harry (Polly), Deesh Mariwala (Silver) and Lexie Carducci (Jim). Musical gems directed by Nick Lawrence. Golden opportunities for rich irony in the plot, with some female characters seen juggling the roles of brawny brash pirate and rational assertive women. All in all, it's a treasure-trove of hilarity - stunning!" Juliet M

"Brilliant everyone! We're treasuring our evening of sparkling gems of imagination and bonhomie! (plus a bloody good laugh!)" Sheila C

"Great first night... a show full of belly-laughs. Not least the unscripted child in the audience was hysterical & totally involved. Congratulations all." Ade E

"Here are some pictures of the very enjoyable panto last night. Paul looked great in his red trousers and the skeleton dance was amazing. It was all very well acted, sung, danced and directed. Can't wait till the next one." Jane H

"We loved the panto (and so glad I persuaded T to come as she loved it too) and thought the talent was amazing. You were great as always and the WI was so clever .  Long John was excellent and of course the Dame superb" Monica K

"Elizabeth, congratulations to you and the cast for a perfect panto. I laughed so hard and booed till I lost my voice (Guy had instructed me to boo). You costumes- from wellies to skellies - were all so good. Already looking forward to next year." Karen J

"And, well, the PANTO!  Truly great performances from you, Elizabeth, and the whole cast. Just SO much fun!  Special mention to Paul for being the absolute star of the show!  That said, I’m slightly relieved that he didn’t climb over the first two rows to get to me....
Back home and in the warm but still smiling at the whole delightful evening." David W

"My friends loved the show and thought it was extremely professional. Thanks for letting me join in the preparation!  It was a great script and I loved the group enthusiasm" Robin E

"Isobel & I hugely enjoyed the panto and the whole evening. Reports I see include: ‘Best evening’s entertainment since the opening of the Olympic Games’" Robert and Isobel W

"We LOVED the panto! You are stars!"
Viv and Martin S-P

"another excellent panto production!  Thoroughly enjoyed myself on Saturday" Alastair D

"All the classic and reassuringly familiar elements of a panto: a dame, goodies and baddies, dancing and singing, sloshing the audience and showering them with sweets and engaging everyone in shouting “it’s behind you” The children were SO engaged at that point I expected them to run up on stage! Really funny and uplifting after the general election. And how I needed a lift! Thank you St Michael’s Players.” Kirstie M

"The 6 of us had a great evening and, if I may say so, we were all seriously impressed by the quality of both the production and the acting.  Our granddaughter, Martha, is sitting in her high chair nodding vigorously" Tim L

"Arabella, you were a wicked delight! Well-done. We loved it!!! And you and David look particularly fine on stage. Charisma. And excellent delivery. Just the best. What a very fine way to spend an evening." Polly B

We loved the panto - the bar staff were particularly good this year ... (Ed. Oh really?) Simon and Ali H

"I thought it was amazing and my fayvrit (favourite) bit was wen (when) they got woter (water) guns and wen (when) they meet (met) the piret sceltn (pirate skeleton) and at the fnarly (finale). From Stanley Smith. I hop (hope) yoa (your) famlees (families) come to tresha ilnd! (Treasure Island)"
Stanley (age 6).
